Has anyone ever heard of meat glue?

I recieved an email and it startled me. Has anyone ever heard of meat glue? I saw in the email video that slaughter houses and grocery store chains are using some form of glue to glue together misc. pieces of meat together to make an acutal steak or piece of boneless chicken breast. The video also stated that this form of glue was banned from the UK. Why is the US FDA allowing this product to go in our foods. I am just in AWWE about this and would like to know more if anyone has any information. Thank you
