Is this an apartment scam?

I have an ad on Craigslist in the CT Area and the people that want to rent from me are in Oregon. I have talked to them on the phone and they didn't call me back for a week they had a "friend" come to the place and take pictures for them . I am wondering if they are trying to scam me they said they could make it from oregon to Ct in 4 days to pay the whole deposit. Mind you I have not talked to these people face to face
