About to run out of money can't pay rent need advice?

I'm running out of cash and I lost my income and am selling everything including my car. I can pay one more months rent and still have enough to eat and move out. When I got my place I paid a 2 month's rent security deposit so they have that. What should/could I say and is there a possible way to get out of the lease or am I screwed? I have about 8 months left on the lease. The place I live is 6 storys and they keep a 95% occupancy rate so I think it would rent out soon. Anyone with real world experience please give me your 2 cents. Btw im in Texas. Thanks
